AFFILIATE & ADVERTISING DISCLOSURE
BookOutdoorTrips is an independent travel research and editorial publisher. Some of our pages contain affiliate links that may earn us a commission when a reader makes a qualifying booking or purchase.
How affiliate links work
Some links on BookOutdoorTrips lead to travel merchants, booking platforms, transportation providers, accommodation services, tours and experiences, rental-car services, outdoor travel providers, and other travel-related businesses.
When you follow an affiliate link and complete a qualifying transaction, BookOutdoorTrips may receive a commission from the merchant or platform. This generally does not add an extra charge to the price you pay.
Not every external link on BookOutdoorTrips is an affiliate link, and the presence of an affiliate relationship does not guarantee that a merchant or service will be recommended.
Editorial independence
Affiliate relationships do not determine our editorial conclusions.
We aim to explain material strengths, limitations, trade-offs, restrictions, costs, and poor-fit situations so readers can make their own travel decisions.
Research before recommendation
Material claims should be supported by reliable evidence. Whenever practical, we prioritize official sources, primary documentation, merchant terms, public data, and clearly attributed secondary evidence.
We do not claim personal testing, booking, purchasing, or firsthand experience unless it is genuinely documented.
Commercial terms can change
Prices, availability, fees, cancellation rules, eligibility, membership benefits, and other commercial conditions may change.
Readers should review the current terms shown by the relevant merchant or provider before completing a booking or purchase.
How disclosures appear in our articles
When an article contains a meaningful affiliate recommendation, BookOutdoorTrips aims to provide a clear commercial disclosure near the relevant recommendation or affiliate link.
Affiliate links are also marked for search engines using appropriate sponsored-link attributes where technically applicable.
This site-wide Affiliate Disclosure provides additional context, but it does not replace the disclosure presented within individual commercial articles.
What affiliate relationships do not change
An affiliate relationship does not require BookOutdoorTrips to publish a positive conclusion about a merchant or service.
We do not intend to use fabricated scarcity, unsupported savings claims, or guarantees solely to encourage a transaction.
Our goal is for an article to remain useful even if every affiliate link were removed from the page.
External merchants and booking platforms
When you leave BookOutdoorTrips and visit a third-party website, that business is responsible for its own products, services, booking process, terms, policies, pricing, availability, and customer support.
BookOutdoorTrips does not control changes made by third-party merchants after our content has been published.
